Repair for Quincy Mainline

Dear Quincy Customers,
Yesterday at approximately 11:30 a.m. we had an 8" mainline burst on Rutters Road.  The crew was sent out immediately for the all day repair. This emergency affected everyone because it drained much of the reservoir and we lost a lot of water.  The crew worked until midnight last night, replacing 20 feet of pipe. The burst was attributed mainly to tree roots that were pressing against the underground pipe.
